Strides for Life Exercise Programme:
Strides for Life is a structured 16 week walking programme developed by the Irish Cancer Society to help people recovering from cancer treatment to improve their level of fitness. Regular exercise is an important part of cancer rehabilitation and has been shown to improve the quality of living in cancer survivors. Keeping and staying active can help improve not just your physical but also your emotional health and wellbeing.The programme is supervised by a specialist physiotherapist and nurse who will assess and monitor each individuals progress throughout the 16 week programme.
