Ways to Help

Volunteers for fundraising events

Our volunteers are the corner stone of the charity, we cannot continue with our work without the support of the volunteer. There are many ways in which you can become a volunteer:

Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre Mini Marathon, Drogheda:

Volunteers are needed to help with the smooth running of the day. You can assist on the morning of the event by helping with registration, t-shirts, and of course, tea, coffee and refreshments when all Kelly’s Hero’s return. Volunteers are needed to help ensure the smooth running of the day. You could assist at the event by serving tea and coffee, taking lots of photographs, and helping everything run to plan.

Once the event is over, we need support to restore the Centre for the next day’s services — loading and unloading the dishwasher, tidying rooms, and making sure everything is ready to welcome visitors again.

If you have a couple of hours to spare on the day and would like to get involved, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Christmas cards:

We run a Christmas card campaign each year and need the support of many volunteers throughout the campaign. This runs from the beginning of November right through to mid-December. Our stands require two people for two hours, once a week. It is a great way of meeting people, making new friends and supporting your charity.
