Ways to Help

Why help The Gary Kelly Support Centre?

The Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre relies hugely on the support of the public and business sector for funding. The Charity receives less than 10% of its annual running cost (€350,000.00) through grants and cannot continue with its work without your support.

We do not have a fundraising committee however, we support and encourage our fundraisers with advice, items i.e. buckets, tee shirts, printed material where appropriate.

The GKCSC is ever vigilant, accountable and transparent when dealing with all funds received. We strive to ensure we obtain value for money at all times. Whenever and wherever possible we try to obtain sponsorship in respect of associated fundraising costs.

Banners, flyers, brochures and postage all create unavoidable expenses and, we are ever diligent in our efforts to keep these costs to a minimum.

Where do the funds raised go?

Each year the demand for the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre services continues to grow and, in order to meet these needs it is important that we have sufficient funds to help us provide and deliver our classes, workshops cancer survivorship programmes, complementary therapies and counselling services The GKCSC has a core group of approximately 25 volunteer who freely give a morning or afternoon of their time. Our volunteers run the Drop-in centre and, the meet and greet services. Each volunteer must complete an approved training programme and an induction period to help them to carry out their role effectively. They are an essential part of the day to day running of the centre and, we could not continue without their support.

The Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre supported in excess of 7,500 client visits in 2017.
