Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness meditation combines mindful breathing and meditation. This is an effective workout for the mind, and the concentration involved allows you to block out stress for an hour and a half.

Mindfulness is a mind-body based approach that helps people change the way they think and feel about their experiences, especially stressful experiences. It involves paying attention to our body sensations, thoughts and feelings so we become more aware of them and better able to manage them.

Mindfulness interventions aim to teach us how to keep an open mind and accept our thoughts, sensations and feelings without unhelpfully identifying with them or resisting them.

Mindfulness interventions have proven to benefit physical health by improving immune system response, speeding healing, reducing stress and inducing a sense of physical well-being.
